An Acts 2 Vision

Randy Roper

Jesus' timeless mission to his disciples to "make disciples" is our new congregational theme and focus of this sermon series. "Making Disciples" is a mission that should not only direct our lives as individuals and families, it must be the primary mission and ministry-shaping force within the congregation. Such a Spirit-infused mission must begin with a God-ordained vision.

Standing Alone

Description:Series Information: Many know the biblical character Elijah as a larger-than-life hero. The great prophet of God who called down fire from heaven! But the Bible tells us Elijah was a person just like us (James 5:17). Yes, Elijah had incredible mountaintop experiences with God, but he also found himself floundering in fear and despair at times. Through it all, God was right there with Elijah, leading him, providing for him and refining his faith by the fires of life. This sermon series uses Elijah’s story to help us understand what it means to live with faith in a world that is becoming more and more faithless.
