Elim 101

membership class

We were designed to be a part of a church family. A healthy family has common beliefs, purposes and commitment. At Elim, we want to share about who we are and what we believe. That's why we offer Elim 101. Pastor Marvin leads this overview of Elim's history, beliefs, purpose, strategy, ministries and future. And at the end of the class, you are invited to apply for membership.

explore the meaning of life

Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The course meets once a week for 12 weeks. Each session typically includes:

• a delicious meal

• an intriguing talk

• an engaging, informational video

• small group discussion

At each session, people enjoy great food, laughter and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere where no question about life or God is seen as too simple or too hostile... questions like: Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going? No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don’t assume any background knowledge of or belief in Christianity and everyone is welcome.

Why not come to a course and see what you think? Contact Joanne Fredlund for more information .

Elijah House

Healing Shame

Though difficult to recognise, shame's destructive fruit can help pinpoint its roots: do you fear making mistakes, being vulnerable or out of control? Are you uncomfortable expressing emotions, being in a position of need, saying 'no'? Do you struggle with feelings of worthlessness, trusting others, perfectionism? Sandra teaches shame is something we can be released from. The Holy Spirit wants to restore our honour, identity, relationships and kingdom purpose. Elijah House will run Wednesday, October 7 to November 28, 2015 7-9:30 PM. Contact Dianne Mantyka dimantyka@sasktel.net
