Mrs. Manguiat grew up in Oakland, California. She has always enjoyed working with children. Prior to becoming Elementary Principal at ESCS, she taught for six years and was Vice Principal for three. She is excited about her new role and to get to know each of the students at ESCS this year. Outside of school, she enjoys all sports. She played volleyball through college, and still enjoys playing and coaching. She is a big Oakland Raiders fan, having been a loyal season ticket holder for the past ten years. She loves spending time with her family and 1 year old son.

Darren Ojeda

  • Mr. Ojeda has been a part of the ESCS family for 13 years. He handles our Physical Education and sports leagues (soccer and basketball) for our K-6th grade students to keep our kids active and in shape! He also runs our Summer program, “Sports Camp” that reaches kids for Christ from all over the Bay Area.

  • Christina Banuelos

    Ms. B. is a Bay Area native. She is a mother to two beautiful daughters and one handsome son, all of whom have attended ESCS. Ms. B. started working at ESCS as a teacher’s aide. She then taught 3rd grade for five years and is currently in her seventh year of teaching Kindergarten. Ms. B. loves her job and counts it as a blessing to serve the parents and students of ESCS.

    Mrs. Hendrickson was raised on a farm in Idaho and went to a one-room school through sixth grade. Her three daughters and one son are all grown and on their own. She and husband Phil have several grandchildren here in the U.S. and in Australia! Mrs. Hendrickson loves teaching foundational concepts in the early grades.

    Ms. Klobas is in her tenth year teaching at ESCS. She has taught third and fourth grade, and is currently teaching first grade. She enjoys working in an environment that not only promotes academic excellence, but a strong love of the Lord.

    Orlando Arnold

    Mr. Orlando Arnold has always wanted to work with kids. He has been in a plethora of teaching environments and has a lot of experience with different grade levels. While in college, he played NCAA Division 1 football on scholarship at the University of Wyoming (in the Mountain West Conference) as a tight end and receiver.     Mrs. Manguiat has been blessed with a wonderful husband, two grown children, a son-in-law, and a fabulous grandchild. She loves spending time with her family and watching as her children play and coach volleyball. In her spare time she enjoys walking, gardening, children’s books, and being involved in her church. She is thrilled to see children gain confidence and independence as their learning connects them with the universe God has created.

    Mrs. Webb was born in Brooklyn, New York but grew up in the Bay Area. She began working with children as a teenager and thoroughly enjoyed it. While in college, she worked for both West Contra Costa Unified and Berkeley Unified as an instructional aide and a sign language interpreter. Once she completed college, she began working as a teacher. Outside from teaching, she enjoys shopping, watching movies, nature, and spending time with her family.

    Mr. Wemple grew up in San Jose, California and has also lived for ten years in Oregon. He has been happily married for 34 years and is the proud father of a U.S. Army Sergeant. Mr. Wemple loves the Lord, and along with his wife Elaine, is very active in worship and children’s ministry at his church. He loves teaching children and draws inspiration and purpose for working at El Sobrante Christian School from the Lord Jesus Himself, who said, “Let the little children come to Me.”

    Heidi Nunes-Tucker

    Ms. Nunes grew up in Sacramento where she was a product of Christian school education. She aspired to become a teacher because of the inspiration and mentorship of her high school math teacher. During her free time, Ms. Nunes enjoys spending time with her son and attending his soccer and lacrosse games.

    Lynda Camacho

    Band, Music

    Mrs. Camacho has taught music for over 30 years, 23 of those here at ESCS. She conducts multiple programs each year at the elementary campus and band programs at the Jr/Sr High level. She has been the band director for nine years. She also teaches private piano lessons after school. Each year, she takes band and piano students to the ACSI music/band festivals. She loves teaching here at ESCS where she can help students to enrich their musical abilities and to encourage students to worship God through music. She loves the verse, Psalm 98:1, 4-6 which says, “O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done wonderful things. Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth: Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises to the Lord with the lyre: with trumpets and the sound of the horn. Shout joyfully before the King, for He is the Lord.”

    Jean Bradbury

    Computer Teacher, Librarian

  • A.A. (Contra Costa College), Western College of Travel Careers
  • Mrs. Bradbury's father was in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. She has traveled and lived in many different places, including the Philippines, and Hawaii.Before joining the staff at ESCS, Mrs. Bradbury worked as a travel agent for twelve years. When her children were young, she began volunteering at ESCS in a variety of areas which led to her current position. She considers it a blessing that all three of her children were able to attend El Sobrante Christian School from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.

  • Danny Gomez

    Maintenance Supervisor

    Danny has been a long time parent at ESCS and a great addition to our staff. He does an outstanding job of keeping ESCS well maintained and looking great. If Danny can't fix something he can find someone who can. Danny is an ESCS coach and loves having a positive influence on our kids. He is an avid SF Giants fan and a pretty good cook too!
