What We're Like
Hillside Church is a "New Kind of Church." We might be different from the church that you grew up going to. Each service features:
Contemporary Music. (We even use some popular songs that you might hear on the radio that have spiritual messages).We welcome EVERYONE. You are welcome at our church, it doesn't matter what type (if any) of religious background you have, what has happened in your past, even if other churches have not welcomed you, YOU ARE WELCOME at Hillside.Relevant Messages. Each Sunday we are challenged with a message that applies to our everyday lives. Fun. We are fun people, friendly and welcoming. We like to laugh and smile and have fun. Come as You Are. We are informal. You don't need to dress up. Mike wears jeans while he speaks.We're not weird. We don't make visitors feel uncomfortable. We are not the type of church that speaks in tongues, we don't have a pastor who yells. You won't feel judged or singled out here.Powerful and Fun Childrens' Ministries. As a church, we believe that we should partner with parents to support them as they raise their kids. Kids love our ministry leaders and have a blast during the service in their "Studio 252."Grow Groups. We offer a bunch of different groups where you can build friendships and grow in many different ways. We have offered, Parenting Groups, Marriage Support Groups, Bible Studies, Outdoor Groups, Men's Groups, and much more.What Denomination?
We are a non-denominational church who is affiliated with the Church of God movement of churches, headquartered in Anderson Indiana. (A group of churches that didn't like how denominations separate churches.) We are held accountable by the PNA (Pacific Northwest Association of the Church of God) and the CMA (Church Multiplication Association.)
