Inviting Your Help - Companion Synod Needs...
This spring The Rev. Dr. Dittmar and Pat Mündel led "healthy community" workshops for deacons of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Colombia in various areas of the country. The Mündels also taught pastors and seminary students Luther's understanding of the World and the Word. It became evident that there was a great need for sets of Luther's Works, in Spanish, to be available and accessible to them. Over half don't have any printed books of Luther's. Dittmar Mündel together with Atahualpa, the Dean of Theological Studies and Bishop Eduardo are planning an on-line follow-up course on using Luther's hermeneutics in daily life. For that, these sets of Luther's Works is an important tool. The Mündels are committed to purchasing some sets for the Lutheran Church workers in Colombia, but are hoping that supporters of our Companion Synod in Colombia, would assist by sending donations (to the Synod Office, marked "Luther's Works") for this purpose. Each 10-volume Spanish set of "Luther's Works" costs approximately $200, however any contribution towards purchase of these sets is appreciated.
Lutheran Church of Our Saviour is excited to announce that we will be sharing space with Acadia Christian Preschool which is owned and operated by A Child First Preschool starting September 2013.
