Evangelism Basics:
While some are called share the Gospel in other countries as missionaries, many people are called to be missionaries right where they live and work. Don't be afraid to reach out to your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers who don't know the Lord! Develop friendships with those around you and help them meet Jesus by modeling Him. Be incarnational - listen, care, serve, and talk openly about your faith in a non-pressuring way.
The following tips can ease your fears of reaching out to others with the Good News:
Know Your Goal - Our goal in evangelism is that people come to know that God loves them and that He sent Jesus to be their Savior from sin. Christianity isn't just a religion; it's a relationship with God based on what Jesus has already done for us.Be Prepared to Make the Most of Every Opportunity - see 1 Peter 3:15 and Ephesians 5:15-17 - Some ways you can be prepared are to memorize Bible verses, know where to find answers to questions people might ask and pray continually for God to open your eyes to the opportunities He places around you.The Holy Spirit will Help You - see John 14:26 and Mark 13:11 - The Holy Spirit will help you remember verses and choose the right words when someone is ready to hear about Jesus. As long as what comes to mind fits with what the Bible says, go with the flow.Be Patient - see 2 Peter 3:9 - It can feel discouraging when someone we care about keeps rejecting Jesus despite our best efforts. In the same way that we do not see a seed sprouting until it breaks through the soil's surface, the work that the Holy Spirit is doing on that person's soul might not be evident. Remember that God is in control, and that He loves that person even more than you do.Here are some key Gospel concepts and Bible verses to keep in mind:

DME Loan Closet:
Our Durable Medical Equipment Loan Closet (DME) is alive and well. Recently we have provided not only members but also neighbors of members with much appreciated equipment. We have a liaison with a member who is a Blue Cross/Blue Shield case manager. We also now have a connection with Michigan visiting nurses, the University of Michigan’s Home Health Division. Currently our shelves are well stocked but we are always open to receiving donations. 734-664-5178 remains the contact number.
