I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life
Description:Faith is not believing in God, faith is believing God.Jesus says whatever you’re going through do not let your heart be troubled. Moments like these, God uses to stretch and grow your faith.1.Jesus is the way to God2.Jesus is the truth in every situation3.Jesus is the truth over sin4.Jesus is the Life for this world 5.Jesus is the Life for the nextCharles Spurgeon quote:A little faith will bring your soul to heaven. A great faith will bring heaven to your soul.
Description:In John 15 Jesus states “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.”The vine is the source and sustenance of life for the branches, and the branches must abide in the vine to live and bear fruit. Jesus, of course, is the vine, and the branches are people. The fruit-bearing branches represent true ChristiansA branch that is truly connected to the vine is secure and will never be removed. But one that only appears to be connected—one that has only a superficial connection—will be removed. If it does not have the life of the vine flowing through it, it will bear no fruit.
Joe Evans and Jeremy Crow
Description:A group of individuals from The Bridge went to Nicaragua October 14 through October 21 to be the hands and feet of Jesus. One of our elders, Jeremy Crow and Pastor Joe Evans led the group. On Sunday they shared about what is happening in Nicaragua and how everyone; not only those who went to Nicaragua but those prayed, donated money and shoes have impacted the lives of the people in Nicaragua.
Description:Jesus said, “I am the bread.” What does that mean? Jesus didn’t come to BRING us bread but to BE the bread that leads to life, life today and life eternally. He desires us to be in a relationship with Him and not just seek benefits from Him. Listen to this week’s message as we learn about Jesus words that we need to believe in Him ALONE to experience the abundant life He offers us if we choose to follow Him.
Description:John 10:14-15 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. You can trust the Good Shepherd! He wants the best for you, will never abandon you and He laid down His life for you. The Shepherd will go after the one that is lost!
Description:John 10:7-9 (ESV) So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.” When we come to the door of Jesus and go through that door, it changes everything! Jesus is the only door, the only way to God. He didn’t say ‘I’m A door’, He said ‘I’m THE door’. Anyone can come to God but you have to enter, God calls us to Him but he’s not going to drag us in.
Description:John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Jesus is the Light of the World. His life does not change, His character does not change, His truth does not change, His ways do not change and His purposes do not change. The Light of the World is the one true God.
Description:‘I am’ statements describe who you are or how you feel. Jesus said ‘I Am the Resurrection and the Life’. The resurrection is not only about what Jesus did, it is who He is. Jesus can resurrect and bring life to your discouragement, to impossible situations and to your soul. With Christ we always have hope, He can do the impossible. God loves you right where you are. Jesus’ sacrifice pays for your past, present and future sins. By grace, you have been saved!
Description:The Gospel motivates us to step out of our world to change the world. Jesus tells us to be His witnesses where we live, work, play and as we live our lives and to be His witnesses outside our everyday world. If you are born again, you are a witness. The Holy Spirit starts changing our focus – it is no longer on ourselves but now it is on asking the Lord ‘what do you want me to do outside my world?’
Description:We are called to be missionaries where we live, work and play. You are a missionary if you have a relationship with God. To connect, we need to meet people where they are. We are reconciled to God but we are also drafted to be missionaries alongside Him, spreading the same Good News that rescued us. If we’re going to reach people where they are, we have to be bold enough to speak the Gospel message where they are and not wait on the professional to do what every believer has been called to do!
Description:Church is people, a family not a building or a location. Christianity is not meant to be done alone. In Acts 2:42-47 we learn about the fellowship of believers. They did life together, they met consistently, not just Sunday morning, they were authentic, real and they are loving and giving. Spiritual growth is a lifetime journey – when we mess up, we can’t give up. God doesn’t give up on us.
Description:Being a Christian is not just a forgiven version of the same old you. Over time, your thinking and desires start to change. Church is not about Sunday morning, it's about relationship, not religion. His Grace - not religion - will start changing you.
Description:When we invite the Lord into our difficulties, through prayer and thanksgiving, peace and power rule and it’s difficult to be defeated. We need to expect trials – unexpectedly, lift Him up when we’re down and others benefit from our battles (remember people are watching!). Praise Him for who He is – we can ‘Overcome with Praise’!
Description:Temptation is not a sign of weakness or a sin. Temptation is anything that lures us and encourages us to cross the bridge into sin. God will not tempt you - He may test you but He will not tempt you. It's the grace of God that teaches us to say no to sin. The only thing that truly satisfies is God's grace!
Description:Overcoming pain is possible through the power of the cross. God has never promised that you won’t go through pain but He has promised that He will help you through it. Jesus is our anchor. The anchor doesn’t stop the storm, it helps you through the storm. Focus on the power of the cross!
Description:Focusing on Christ gives us the courage to overcome Fear. Fear has its greatest power in the 'What if'. You can overcome fear by praying, seeking the Truth, living for today and don’t worry about tomorrow, focus on God’s love for you, trust other believers and trust Christ.
Description:As Christians, we need to be who God calls us to be. God doesn’t call the qualified and gifted, He qualifies and gifts the called! If you have a relationship with Jesus, He wants to change you from the inside out. He loves you where you are! We need to exhibit faith and trust in God, not ourselves or our circumstances. A spiritual hero isn’t a professional, it’s a person with a talent who isn’t aware of it. Then you see something - you see God showing up working in them and through them doing things that only God can do.
Description:Godly encouragement is the cure for discouragement. An encouraging church... builds up and does not tear down.An encouraging church... confirms your true identity in Christ. An encouraging church... proclaims there is always hope.An encouraging church... encourages each other with the return of Christ.
Description:Prayer is not about religion, it’s about relationship. A praying church prays for one another and prays for God to move. Prayer is an important key to our relationship with God. It also is a key to our relationship with the church.
Description:The “REAL” church is so much more than a building, a band, a message. The “REAL” church loves, focused on the Gospel, depends on the Holy Spirit, experiences God, prays for one another and encourages one another.Due to technical difficulty, we were unable to record the entire message. The points that were missed were #4 Real Church …Gathers to experience God. Don’t be afraid to experience God. #5 Real Church…Prays for one another. James 5:16 and #6 Real Church…. Encourages one another. Hebrews 3:13.
Joe Evans and David Pearson

Relationship with God, relationships with one another. Walk hand in hand and have Life on Life with those you have in your life.
Description:God desires to be glorified through our storms. God has a purpose for the storm. He uses the storm to get us going in the right direction – to bring us to Him. God will never use a storm as punishment for sin.
Description:Pastor Joe shared a special message on our direction and what God is doing in our church.
Description:The Bible has a lot to say about our speech and how it changes when our hearts are yielded to God and filled with His love. Christ in us should manifest and show itself in speech that is wholesome and full of grace and helpful for encouraging others.
Description:The Bible tells us that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil – not that money is evil. Believers should be generous givers – when we give, God is glorified. Money can be a gauge to your heart – where you spend your money is where your heart is!
Description:Scripture tells us to submit to the authorities, pursue peace, pray and don’t cease! You will be disappointed if you put your hope in government or man. The Kingdom of God needs to rule the hearts of men.
Description:Sex is God’s idea – He created it. Sexual intimacy was made by the Creator. The Bible says sex is for having children, enjoyment, pleasure and sex is designed to be within the boundaries of marriage. Outside of marriage it is destructive. It’s never too late to do it the right way – God’s way!
Description:If Christ is with us what do we have to fear? Taking Risks: Expect the unexpected, face the fear, take the risk, your confidence is in Christ. We can have confidence that Christ is with us today.
Description:Last week was Easter and we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Now what? What are you going to do? Go back to your regular life or are you going to articulate your love for Him. The resurrection of Christ should motivate us to experience Him and do His work.
Description:Do you know Jesus? In the book of John, Jesus tells us he is the Bread of Life, the Light of the world, the Good Shepherd, the Resurrection and the Life, the Vine, the Way, the Truth and the Life. Key to a relationship with God is only found through Jesus. John 14:6 ‘No one comes to the Father except through me.’
Description:Jesus’ sacrifice paid for you to have peace, victory in a fallen world, a relationship with God and finally Jesus paid for all your Sin and Guilt. We have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ – once and for all!
Description:Jesus understands sadness, loneliness, being frustrated and angry, family problems, being hurt by others, being tempted by sin, physical pain. Whatever you’re going through Jesus really understands! When we understand that our God is this humble, when we understand that our God walked like us and went through the same stuff like us, and he did it only because he loves us - it makes Hebrews 4:14-16 come alive!!!
Description:Personal curses are things that we do and sometimes create out of our words and actions. Luke 6 tells us it’s a reflection of our heart. We’ve all sinned and fall short of the glory of God, as a result that makes us cursed – no one is righteous. There is Good News….Christ became cursed to make us first!
Description:Christ paid for your forgiveness once and for all. It’s all about the cross – what Jesus did for you and me! Keep your eyes focused on what Christ did for you on the cross.‘So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.’ John 8:36
Description:Understanding freedom makes the Good News even better! Freedom from sin means that you’re forgiven from your past, current and future sins. Grace is offered, not earned! Freedom never felt so good!
Description:Religion says:•You’ve got to do more in your own power to please God•It’s all about the rules•Uses guilt to motivate•We need Jesus plus something elseJesus didn’t come to make us religious, He came to set us free!
Description:The Spirit gives us power to share Jesus with others, it gives us power when we are weak. The Spirit gives us hope in a hopeless world and power to live a victorious life. Living in the Spirit’s power is so much better than our own!
Description:There’s nothing you can do to receive the gifts. They’re not earned or learned – they are discovered. Gifts are for the common good to build up the church and encourage others in faith. Gifts are used always to glorify God and to edify others.
Description: Have you ever asked ‘how do I know what God wants me to do? Or how do I know what God’s will is? Knowing God’s will is not meant to be stressful or hard. We make it harder than it needs to be. Being led by “the Spirit” is simply trusting your new heart. God gives us freedom every day to walk in His will by trusting our new heart.
Description:Understanding the Holy Spirit is quite simple. The Holy Spirit starts changing our passions and our desires. The gifts and the power of the Holy Spirit are meaningless without fruit. Through the Holy Spirit you can live victoriously!
Description:Shaun Hays, "The Chicago Chalk Champ", shared his testimony and demonstrated the love of Christ through art.
Description:The Holy Spirit will never leave you or abandon you. He is your Comforter – this doesn’t mean there won’t be difficulties, struggles and pain. Even if you feel like you can’t hear or feel Him – He will never leave you.
Description:Anyone united with Christ gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life flourishes! God put the world square with himself through Christ, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins.
Description:You Are....Loved unconditionally despite your mess-ups, failures and performances. God loves you right where you are at today. His love is fierce!
Description:If the Gospels teach us anything, they teach us that Jesus is a Good Shepherd. In John 10:11, Jesus announces, “The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.” Jesus tends to his sheep. And he will tend to you. Go to him. Jesus says you don’t have to be good enough, He wants you exactly the way you are. You don’t have to change to come to Jesus, come to Jesus and He will change you.
Description:One of the most widespread Christmas traditions is that of giving and receiving gifts. This tradition goes all the way back to the time when the Wise Men brought Jesus gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. In this message, we explore the spirit of giving and discover that we are most like God when we give from the heart.
Description:The story of Joseph ends in the most grace filled way. He was so mistreated by his brothers, Potiphar’s wife and the chief cupbearer in prison that you would think he would be bitter. Instead, he was able to see his story through God’s eyes by taking a step back and looking at the Bigger Picture. God has a plan for us that is bigger than us and better than anything we could plan ourselves.
Description:The Book of Genesis is foundational to our faith and also foundational to the Gospel. In this message, we explore the story of Judah within the story of Joseph and see how Judah’s example was a shadow of what we have in Jesus. Within his story we discover that God forgives our past and blesses our future.
