Our Core Values

Our Mission Statement:

Nurturing community servants inspired by Jesus.

Our Core Values:

We at Trinity fulfill our God-given calling by:

BRINGING LIFE INTO ALIGNMENT WITH THE WAY OF JESUS

Romans 12:2 – Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.

In the context of all the pressures of life in the Silicon Valley, our desire is to align our everyday lives with the way of God revealed in Jesus Christ. Doing so depends on learning and practicing his way in Christian community.

CONNECTING AND ACCEPTING ALL PEOPLE THROUGH LOVE AND FUN

Galatians 3:28 – There is no longer Jew or Gentile, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.

Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4 – For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.

In a culture of high achievers and perfectionists, we are all accepted in our brokenness and liberated in our childlikeness.

MOBILIZING ALL AGES TO CARE FOR ONE ANOTHER

I Corinthians 12:27, 26 – Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it.

Every generation is treasured in this church body. In our good times we give and in our hard times we receive, according to our gifts and abilities.

INVESTING IN OUR CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN THE EXTENDED COMMUNITY

Matthew 19:14 – Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”

Trinity has a special love for the children and youth of this community and a unique ability to involve their gifts and talents through mission, music, our nursery school, and the love of the larger church family.

MEASURING IMPACT BY LIVES WE TOUCH

I John 4:20 – Those who say, “I love God,” and hate their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen.

For us, church is not a Sunday box. It is all about relationship: loving God with all of who we are and loving our neighbor the way God loves us. We will measure the success of how God’s Spirit is at work in our midst by how people actually experience that love.
