Did you know that people make up their mind about whether or not they're coming back to The Journey Church even before the worship begins or the sermon is preached? It's true! That's why our host team is so important. They are the ones who make the first impressions on our guests. If you're friendly, know how to smile, and enjoy making people feel welcome, then our host team is for you! This group includes greeting, seating, taking attendance, receiving offering. It also includes preparing food for Sunday mornings.

The mission of our worship arts department is to create inspiring worship. We're looking to partner with committed people who have a servant's heart and love Jesus more than music. Our worship arts department is divided into several categories: sound, computer, lighting, video, vocalists, and musicians.

Want to point kids toward God? Then this is for you! In our kids department you can volunteer in the nursery, preschool or elementary aged environment. You can also volunteer to help with check in, greeting and set-up/tear-down specific to the kids ministry.

An office volunteer donates two hours of time once a week to help with a variety of jobs at the church. This includes but is not limted to: printing, folding, and stuffing programs with any inserts we may have on a given week, writing out first time guest follow up letters, assembling mass mailings, data entry, etc. If you like working behind the scenes and having fun in the process then the Office Volunteer Team is for you!

We believe that prayer keeps things from happening that shouldn't and helps things happen that should. If you have a desire to consistently pray for the needs of others then you may want to be a part of this team.

Numbers 10:21 reads, "before they (the Isaelites) arrived at the next camp, the Tabernacle would already be set up at its new location." From this verse we learn that The Journey Church isn't the first portable church! The portable church finds its roots all the way back in the Old Testemant in the second book of the Bible! The Journey Church has to be set up and torn down each week, just like the Old Testament Tabernacle. We like to think of ourselves as not just setting up equipment but preparing for life change.

Our students, grades 6th through 12th, meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. They connect with God and each other starting at 7:00 p.m. and ending at 8:30 p.m. If you like working with teenagers on a regular basis or may or may be available as a chaperone on different trips, this may be the areas of involvement for you.
