Ministries

Life Groups are designed to help us grow in our relationship with God and with each other.

They are built around activities aimed at producing genuine spiritual growth and encouragement through: Sharing, Learning, Accountability and Praying.

SHARING - Growing in our relationships requires that we share with one another, that we let each other know what is happening in our lives.

It’s helpful to share:

1. our struggles - problems, fears, personal weaknesses, etc...

2.our blessings - things we have learned, received, been able to do etc...

3. our aspirations - ambitions and ideas that burn in our hearts, things we want to do for the Lord.

LEARNING - Spiritual life is anchored in Christ and is nourished as we understand and respond to what we learn of Him (Col. 2:6). We can encourage each other by sharing what we learn by:

1. studying the bible together with a special interest in its practical application in our lives.

2. sharing insights from our own Bible study.

ACCOUNTABILITY - Accountability to others is something we usually try to avoid, but it can be an incentive to faithfulness. It actually creates in us an atmosphere for our own growth. It helps us achieve:

1. our spiritual goals - by sharing our aspirations with other group members, they can encourage us as we take action in achieving those goals.

2. our family goals - family responsibilities often get neglected by busy men and women. It can be helpful to let others know our goals and needs so that they can help us be more faithful in those areas.

PRAYING - members pray with and for each other. They encourage each other by:

1. thanking God - for one another’s blessings, not just their own

2. asking God - for help in each other’s areas of struggle or need.

3. seeking God - for the empowerment to serve and grow in our families and our community.
