GOOD NEWS OUTREACH, INC was Incorporated and granted a 501-C3 status in May of 1985 in the state of New Jersey.

RAY & CAROL SHANNON are the founders of G.N.O. and have been in the ministry for over 30 years.

THE VISION

The Vision the Lord gave Ray & Carol was Isaiah 61. Truly this chapter reflects the ministry of the Lord Jesus,

(Luke 4:17-19) and His body, the church in the earth. Apostolic Ministry always has a Global Vision and 'Heart for the Nations.' In Isaiah 61, we see people healed, delivered, reconciled, restored and rebuilding cities and nations.

MISSIONS: [Local and International]

Since it's inception, Good News has helped to plant and support churches and ministries locally and abroad. Both leaders and members have been on 4 continents, 10 countries and 2 Islands. It is a great joy to serve the Lord, His people and the nations with the love of God. Our journey thus far has taken us to help build orphan boy's dorms in Jamaica to feeding the hungry, healing the sick, preaching and teaching in North and South America, Africa, Europe, and the Islands. On our most recent trip to the states of Oyo and Kano in Nigeria, we had the opportunity to host a Leader's Conference and minister encouragement to Christian leaders and healing to local congregations. Poland is another nation that God has blessed our ministry with through divine connections and great colleagues pastoring there.

BIBLE TRAINING CENTER

GNBTCI, "Good News Bible Traing Center International," was launched in September of 2011. We have students enrolled at the local venue in Barrington, N.J. and the school is available via internet starting in January of 2012. GNBTCI is a fully accredited school offering Associates and Bachelor Degrees with Masters and Doctorate available in the near future.

CREDENTIALING

Good News Outreach is authorized to offer Credentials for those who qualify with scriptural guidelines for Leadership found primarily in 1 Timothy 3 and Ephesians 4:11. We believe that Credentials should be issued as a result of relationships with co-laborers, directly and indirectly. We take the responibility to recognize, ordain and license qualified candidates and colleagues very seriously in the Lord. Our committment is to support our ministers in prayer, encouragement, faith and financially as the Holy Spirit guides.

A FELLOWSHIP OF MINISTERS, CHURCHES AND MINISTRIES

We believe that the unity of God's leaders and their ministries is imperative for the Kingdom's advancement. To have greater impact in the major spheres of influence we need a 'PARADIGM SHIFT" in our approach to ministry. This aspect of the Vision, 'the networking of God's Leaders and Ministries,' will increase our ability to touch more lives and reap a greater harvest locally, regionally, nationally and globally. As we realize and value each other's anointing, gifts and talents, we can pool together to be a greater blessing in every outreach to bless humanity and establish our Father's kingdom.
