'2016' - "A GREAT AWAKENING AND REVIVAL"

JANUARY - 2016 'Wise virgins or foolish virgins'

In Matthew 25, Jesus teaches that before His return as 'the Bridegroom' for His bride, the condition of the church would be divided. 50% of the church would be looking for His return and 50% would not be. Those looking for and expecting His return were considered to be 'WISE VIRGINS'. A virgin is one who is chaste in their behavior and lifestyle and keeps him or herself separated for their betrothed until marriage. The world is never considered in this category; only those who have been washed in the blood of the Lamb.

Some arguments regarding this possibility is that it would seem that salvation is based on works and not grace. I prayed about that and Holy Spirit spoke this to me. "It's not based on works, it's based on love." Jesus said, "he who loves Me, keeps My commandments." He who does not keep My commandments DOES NOT LOVE ME!

In context, 50% of the church is not going to be involved in this Awakening. They will only be caring about themselves and be helplessly drowning in their own lusts, fears and disillusionment. Jesus said that before His return, 'the love (agape) of many will wax cold.' Hence, there is a falling away from the faith.

The nations are in dire straights and the church globally needs an 'Awakening' for revival and the reaping of the great harvest. The purpose is for the church to cover the earth (like a tsunami) with the gospel of Jesus Christ, doing the works of the Father, winning souls and making disciples of the nations.

Recently, Holy Spirit spoke this to me; "FEAR is the result of the absence of knowledge". We need to fill ourselves with the Word of God and pray in the Holy Ghost for the mysteries in scripture to be revealed; what steps to take; what and when to speak; what to do to be accomplished.

ARE YOU READY? GET ON YOUR MARK! GET SET! GO!!!

We are called to be long distance runners. The clock is ticking; the starter's pistol has been fired. "This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it."

You and I have a RACE TO RUN and we are advised to run it in such a way as to win the prize. It is a personal choice but a corporate move and running.

God Speed to you in your race to win the prize, connected to His body as one new man.

CELEBRATING THE LORD'S BIRTH

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14

The glory of the Father that the people beheld was the grace and mercy of a loving God in the person of Jesus, the Christ from Nazareth. This amazing love was restoring hearts to the Father; healing all who were oppressed of the devil in the power of the Holy Spirit; and making disciples for the advancement of the kingdom.

As Christians this season, let's be sure to Hail our King Jesus in public and lift Him high for all to see. Let's enage in doing the works of the Father. Let's never be embarassed to share our faith and the hope that lies within us; all the more as 'the Day approaches.'

A HEART OF THANKSGIVING

The Scriptures have many references of giving God thanks and praise. David throughout the Psalms gave 'thanks to God' in good and trying circumstances. Some times his very life was at stake. Thanksgiving from one's heart is a great expression of faith. It says, 'I will give You thanks for You are my source; You are my deliverer; You are my healer; You are the Shepherd and Bishop of my soul. "It is a good thing, to give thanks unto the Lord."

Let's purpose this Holiday Season and thru 2016 to give thanks to the Lord often during each day. We will be greatly enriched in our hearts and our faith will grow.

THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYING IN TONGUES

For the past several weeks the messages coming forth have, for the most part, been directed with the importance of 'Praying in the Spirit.' The ministry in prophetic song & the gifts of the Holy Spirit have also highlighted this along with an emphasis on repentance, priorities and intimacy with God.

THREE ESSENTIAL ASPECTS FOR SUCCESS

There are three key aspects to successfully experience the truths of scripture. They are: HEARING, RECEIVING and DOING.

In Romans 10:17, Paul by the Spirit says, 'now then, FAITH comes by HEARING, and HEARING by, the WORD of GOD.'

James writes to the church: James 1:21-22

21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and RECEIVE with meekness the IMPLANTED WORD, which is able to SAVE YOUR SOULS. [implanted means: that which is deposited in you by others]

22 But be DOERS of the WORD, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Many Christians HEAR the Word but don't actually RECEIVE the Word and thereby are indifferent to DO THE WORD.

Praying in the Holy Ghost empowers you and I to be more sensitive to Holy Spirit's still small voice. Jesus said that Holy Spirit would lead us and guide us into all truth. Paul said in Ephesians 6:18, 'praying always with all prayer and supplication IN THE SPIRIT, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for alll the saints.'

HEARING HOLY SPIRIT'S VOICE:

"Hearing" Holy Spirit's voice could be described in different ways. It would be appropriate to include being 'led by the Spirit.' With that in mind it can literally be 'His still small voice.' One way to assess His voice is when you hear some guidance or direction and the thought seems like it's your voice. Proverbs says, 'the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching the inner parts of the belly.' Our spirit is where Holy Spirit dwells and so, that still small voice sounds like our voice of thought but it's coming from our belly area instead of our head. Hence the phrase, I have this gut feeling.' One credible minister said that conscience is the voice of our spirit. (the belly area or gut feeling) Another way of hearing is by Praying in Tongues to keep yourself edified. We then are sensitive to Holy Spirit's voice, guidance, leading, prompting or nudge to do or say something to be a blessing to others.

INCORPORATE & DEVELOP a strong and consitent lifestyle of praying in the Holy Spirit. He will lead you and guide you into all truth. Praying in tongues on purpose helps us to develop something that is 2nd nature to become 1st nature.

SMITH WIGGLESWORTH said,

No one should come into the door of an assembly without speaking in tongues or having a psalm, or a note of praise. We emphasize that at the incoming of the Spirit, He should so fill us that the last member in the body is yielded to Him, and that no one is baptized in the Spirit without speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance; and I maintain that, with a constant filling, you will speak in tongues morning, noon and night. As you live in the Spirit, when you walk down the steps of the house where you live, the devil will have to go before you. You will be more than a conqueror over the devil.

SEPTEMBER - 2015

Absolutely awesome meetings in GOD'S PRESENCE! The Farias', Thompsons, Pastor Barry Ross and the Shannons flowed together in a symphony of the word, the Spirit and experiences to bless all who attended the Meetings and Forums. There was salvation, baptism in the Spirit, various ministry and a great touch and move of God. We are so grateful and thankful to the Lord and our colleagues for their contributions to the ministry.

Evangelist Bert and Carolyn Farias will be ministering at Good News on Friday, September 18th at 7:30pm and Sunday, the 20th at 10:00am. They will also be an integral part of 'Holy Spirit' forums on Saturday, starting with worship at 10:00am and followed by 3 (45 minute) sessions with ministry at the conclusion.

AUGUST - 2015

THE CHANGING OF SEASONS

Summer is quickly passing. Before we know it, Autumn will be upon us with yet another changing season. What is one of the sounds with August? Crickets.

Did you know that scientists took the sound that crickets make and measured the sound in comparison to human years and played it much slower. When listening to the sounds, the sound was like a symphony playing. God has put it in creation to worship Him and create an environment of solace for humanity.

What we sometimes consider to be annoying, can actually be a misunderstood blessing of God. And so it is in our Christian experience. Sometimes what may seem to be annoying to us can actually be something that God has designed to be a blessing.

When we SLOW DOWN; meditate on God's word and pray in the Holy Spirit, we will see what God is doing and hear what He is saying. When seasons change there are always sounds to be heard which accomodate that season.

It is essential that we HEAR and SEE what God is saying and doing in these seasons in the Spirit.

This month we are focusing on watering the foundational teachings of our faith and posture in prayer.

JUNE - 2015

'REVIVAL IS THE FOCUS'

Every time we meet as a congregation, Holy Spirit directs the preaching and teaching along the lines of Revival. We at Good News are being guided by Holy Spirit to repent where needed, stand in intercession on behalf of others for an 'AWAKENING' and salvation.

The return of Christ is nigh at hand and the Gospel of Jesus Christ must go forth to the unsaved. The true church of Jesus must come into their place of influence through prayer and witnessing.

MAY, 2015

FLOWING IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

Since the beginning of 2015, every message directly or indirectly has had the content of the importance of flowing in the Spirit. Every believer is called to be being filled with the Spirit daily in order to flow with Him. The purpose is to be qualified witnesses of Jesus, our Lord and Christ.

How about you? Are you being filled daily with the Spirit by a lifestyle of worship, praying in tongues and feasting on the Word?

God's endtime army needs to live this type of life! There is a world that needs to be reached and the church is given the comission to reach it. Choose to be one of those disciples who delight to please the Father.

Purpose in your heart to make the necessary changes in your routines or habits to develop the discipline to please the Father in all respects.

MIRACULOUS HEALINGS

There is and has been in this month a few leaders offspring that have been in critical situations. One was an extreme auto accident that the doctors didn't know if the young woman would even survive. "She is now speaking words, sitting up, finishing verses. The family is believing for a full recovery

Another Pastor's daughter has been diagnosed with MS and a tumor at her brain stem. Please pray and decree God's word over them for creative miracles, healing and deliverance. God bless you all so very much.

"RESURRECTION CELEBRATION"

On April 5th the church globally will celebrate the 'Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.' Christianity rises or falls on the credibility of this prophetic and fulfilled event in history. No other religion shares the uniqeness of a Risen Lord. The Bible clearly has many references to the Resurrection of Jesus and one day, the resurrection of God's people. Take time to read the gospel accounts of the resurrection, Jesus' 40 day discipling of His Apostles and followers after His resurrection and Paul's revelation in 1 Corinthians 15.

THE SPIRIT OF REVIVAL!

This past sunday, 03-08, the presence of God manifested in great glory and power. The flow and anointing of the Holy Spirit was wonderfully synchronized through the leadership and visiting ministers. The saints were touched, healed and strengthened by God's grace and an anticipation for revival was stirred once again.

WHAT DOES GOD WANT?

We continue on with Holy Spirit's guidance to preach and teach on faith. There is a great decline of faith in the body of Christ. The scripture teaches that in the last days, people will heap to themselves teachers who will tickle their ears with feel good messages. The truths of the Word of God have great things for all His people. The requisite for discipleship is 'hear and obey.' It's time for us, the church, to hear and obey the voice of God through Holy Spirit's still small voice and His voice through His ministers in the pulpits.

FEBRUARY, 2015

An amazing season where God is directing us to focus on faith, dreams, visions and reaching souls for Christ. Many ministers are preaching on the 'coming of the Lord.'

Are we ready to meet Jesus? Are we looking for His coming?

Are we occupying until His return? Are we reaching out to others, saved or lost?

Knowing our Father intimately is of extreme importance in this hour more than ever. Jesus said, "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." We need to 'turn our eyes upon Jesus and look full in His wonderful face.

HAPPY NEW YEAR IN THE LORD!!!

"Looking for the Coming of the Lord"

Entering into 2015, Holy Spirit is guiding us to re-focus on 'the coming of the Lord Jesus.' Pastor Tim's Christmas message helped to set the stage and confirm what Holy Spirit was ministering to me. "The Jouney of the Magi" is the launching pad for Good News into 2015.

These wise men were of the sect that was influenced by the prophecy of Baalam and instructions of Daniel as the chief wise man when in Babylon. They were watching for the star that would point mankind to the advent of the King of all kings.

Baalam's prophecy in Numbers 24:17, 'I see him, but not in the present time. I perceive him, but far in the distant future. A Star will rise from Jacob; a scepter will emerge from Israel. It will crush the foreheads of Moab's people, cracking the skulls of the people of Sheth."

Star in the Hebrew has a double meaning. (1) a star, (as round and shining), (2) A prince.

Jesus was, is and always will be 'the Prince' that referred to in this prophecy and the same star's light guided them to the King of all kings and Savior of mankind.

There are many references to the Second Advent of the Lord.

In 2015 let's include as part of our Christian experience, the anticipation of Jesus' eminent return at any time.

Occupying Until His Return! As disciples of the Lord Jesus, actively looking for His return, we are commissioned to continue 'making disciples of the nations, baptising them and teaching them all that Jesus commanded.

Let's purpose in 2015 to be more fruitful, winning souls to Christ and discipling them to do the same!

DECEMBER, 2014

Christmas Service: Pastor Tim preached on the gifts that the Magi brought to the Christ child and His parents. He shared how these wise men traveled to find the promised king of all men who they knew would be born through the prophecy of Balaam in Numbers. Their study of the stars and consideration of the prophecy was also motivated by the influence that Daniel had when in Babylon. God has a plan for all of His people and He has already made provision for His plans in the earth.

In January, Pastor Tim ministered a word on 'Strategic Positioning.' It was amazing and revelatory for the body of Christ. The Lord is strategically positioning His people to do the 'works of the father' and preparing them for His soon return.

Are we ready? Are we looking for His coming? Are we living today as if He could come at any moment?

Christ's Birth is celebrated all over the world by those professing to be Christians. 'Jesus is the reason for the season.'

This 2014 Christmas will be uniquely different than any previous. The reason is, we are a year closer to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. The eminent return of Jesus is nigh at hand. So many teachers of end-time prophecy agree that Jesus could return at any time. The increase of the signs of the times in Matthew 24 & 25 are like reading the news paper or watching the news.

Christ came for a reason and a purpose.

1 John 3:8c reads: 'For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.'

There are innumerable blessings that we can enjoy and benefit from as a result of the Lord's destroying the devil's works.

The amazing thing is that Christians are empowered by grace to live a victorious life unto His glorious return. We get to enforce the victory that Jesus achieved and gave us as an inheritance. We experience this through the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Take time this season to read the portions of scripture about the Lord's birth, life, commission to the church and His soon return.

THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION!

History: 'Thanksgiving Day' is a national holiday celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada as a day of giving thanks to God for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year.

In the 'Strong's Concordance' there are 28 references to the word 'thanksgiving', 20 in the old testament and 8 in the new.

The Hebrew word used 17 of the 20 times for thanksgiving is 'TOWDAH'. Towdah means: to extend the hand in adoration.

Towdah also has other meanings, thank offerings; confession; sacrifices of thanksgiving and sacrifices of praise.

The New Testament word is 'eucharista' where the word eucharist is derived. It means, gratitude; grateful language (to God as an act of worship), thankfulness.

The Psalmist wrote, "It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord." Let's join the choir of worshippers this holiday and every day to extend our hands in adoration and articulate praise and thankgiving to our heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit for all they do for us. "GOD IS SO GOOD!

ARE YOU READY FOR ANOTHER JESUS MOVEMENT?

From the mid 60s to mid 70s particularly, there was a mighty move of God's Spirit that touched the world, especially young people. It wasn't supposed to be limited to that time frame, the movement was designed to be a seed bed for ongoing and future moves of God.

There have been many prophecies that the last end-time move of God would especially be spearheaded by young people. They also spoke of the joining of the young with the elders, connecting zeal and wisdom together.

WOW! What a combination! It's really a no brainer.

It's time for the "Upper Room Communities" to arise once again.

A people of prayer and fasting, worship and the word. Our tenure on this planet has a (shelf life) so to speak. We all one day will shed this earth suit to get a spiritual body. If Jesus tarries, we need to give great consideration to maximizing our fruitfulness on the earth. God places us in a local body of believers for reason and purpose. That we may fulfill what Ephesians 4:12-16 reveals to the church and Matthew 28:18-20.

1 Corinthians 12:12-31 speaks of the absolute value of the members of the body of Christ. There are no mistakes in God's creative design. 'YOU ARE PRECIOUS TO GOD, HIS PEOPLE AND HUMANITY!' Every member of the body of Christ has great significance and purpose in this life.

Be all that our heavenly Father desires you to be. You are special, and you are a blessing .

A Jewish New year has begun and special Feastdays to celebrate and to be mindful of. These feasts had Divine purpose and blessing for the people of God. The Hebrew word 'MOED' meant a specific time for God to meet with His people and His people to meet with Him.

'THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES'

The teachings and words of Jesus in Matthew 24 & 25 are like reading the news paper or watching the news. Everything Jesus said will come to pass perfectly. During this process and unfolding of events, many people will be overwhelmed with fear and anxiety. In John 16:33, Jesus said 'These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.'

Read your bible everyday and include a time of worship and prayer. Whatever you feed grows.

SEPTEMBER, 2014

Our meetings the last weekend of September with Gil and Loraine Howard-Browne were awesome. The presence of the lord was so weighty and the Joy of the Lord contagious. All who attended were wonderfully refreshed and blessed.

This month 7 Years ago the Lord gave us a Divine Mandate. In the middle of a service this flowed out of my spirit with such love and yet authority; "From this day forward, you are to pray Psalm 91 & 23 everyday over your family and this congregation."

We continue to hear and see the stories of God's deliverance from all types of evil. God is faithful to watch over His word.

PRAY FOR STUDENTS AND CHILDREN OF ALL AGES! Our prayers for all children and God's protection for them will absolutely help to protect them from any type of abuse or harm.

The last month of summer vacation for many students of all ages. August always has a feel of the weather patterns shifting.

If you are an early bird and capitalize on doing your devotions outside in summer, you can enjoy the differnet sounds of nature.

The coreography of God's sights and sounds in nature beautify the start of every day.

Starting from June and right thru September there is a change in the sounds of nature. Bird activity shifts from active to calmer; the sky and sunrise seem to shift as well. You can both see and hear a change in the atmosphere.

Similarly in the spirit, there are spiritual weather patterns shifting. The ending of a Hebrew calender year approaches and a New Year at 'Rosh Hashanah' (September 24).

More than ever in the history of the human race is it important to know the Father's heart and His will for NOW.

Jesus said that 'no man knows the day or the hour that the Son of Man will return.' But He did say that we could understand the 'signs of the times.'

Let's purpose to stay awake and to be diligent in obeying our Master's word and looking for His coming.

JULY, 2014

'INDEPENDENCE DAY'

JULY 4, Nationally we celebrate our nation's independence from England and the recognizing of 13 colonies. America would be free of England's rule. A democracy would be developed and a government 'of the people, by the people, for the people would be realized.

"THE KING'S RULE"

God never created humanity to be 'independent' of His love, rule and government. His kingdom is 'A Theocracy.'

God's Kingdom is ruled by a King. Our heavenly Father has every right to decree His desires for humanity which He created for a family and to have dominion on the earth.

A democracy has good points and bad points. It works well if a righteous leader is at the helm. It can be devestating when an unrighteous leader is at the helm.

God was, is and always will be a "Righteous King." He does not ask us for a vote but expects our unconditional obedience as His children and subjects.

Let's take time to celebrate His Lordship in our lives...

SUMMER IS HERE!

THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER & HEARING THE VOICE OF GOD

Holy Spirit continues to direct us to the importance of prayer. Pastor Carol has been teaching in our mid-week re-fueling service on the different types of prayer with a fresh anointing and revelation. We the body are in great need to be AWAKENED to the importance and art of prayer.

In these days, there are so many voices wanting and even demanding our attention. Life now is requiring a greater determination to be 'disciples of Jesus.' We must know our Shepherd's voice and the guiding of Holy Spirit.

In Luke 18, Jesus addresses the kind of faith that will please the Son of Man when He comes. In context, Jesus will be looking for His church to be actively involved with a lifestyle of FAITH-FILLED prayer and declaration. Let's not dissappoint Him when He comes.

Holy Spirit is directing our attention to the importance of prayer.

We at Good News are being challenged to respond to His guidance to 'be doers of the work' of prayer.

'Prayer is something that we do until prayer is Someone we become.' There is a metamorphis that occurs when we develop a faithful lifestyle of prayer. We are being transformed from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord into the image of Jesus.

APRIL, 2014

RESURRECTION CELEBRATION, OUR BLESSED HOPE

On April 20, we will be celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The word 'resurrection' in the Greek has three main definitions for variable applications in the Christian's life.

#1. To stand up again; #2. To raise from the dead;

#3. A moral recovery of spiritual truth.

STOOD UP AGAIN!

I believe that the body of Christ at large is in desperate need of being stood up again in our faith. We are all called to be WORLD CHANGERS and not SPECTATORS idly sitting on the bench watching the Kingdom being advanced by a minority of Christians who believe what the Word of God says and is actively doing it. Holy Spirit has His finger on this necessary truth and revelation at this time and is ready, able and willing to HELP us fulfill our destiny in doing our part in the body of Christ.

A MORAL RECOVERY OF SPIRITUAL TRUTH!

Holy Spirit wants to restore us into the place of child-like believing faith. Once again, the 'Foundational Truths' of scripture need to be affirmed in our hearts and a NO COMPROMISE mindset in our demeanor. Holy Spirit wants to REVIVE, REFUEL and REFIRE His church and propel us forward to reap an ENDTIME HARVEST.

Let's purpose to comply with His leading and obey it. There is a world of people all around us who are searching for answers to life's challenges and need to know God. THE CHURCH is God's proof to a lost and dying world that He is real.

2 Corinthians 4:3&4 read: "3, But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, Who is the image of God, should shine on them."

4 BLOOD MOONS predicted on the feasts of Passover and Tabernacles 2014 & 2015. Dr. John Hagee wrote a book on this subject and we highly recommend it to all our friends and family. We are in the last days and Jesus' words from Matthew 24 & 25 are coming to pass.

A NEW SEASON APPROACHING

As Winter's storms begin to diminish, a new season will be soon upon us. SPRING is a welcomed friend especially to those of us in the Northeast corridor. Blue sky and sunshine, trees and shrubs budding, birds and animal activity and sounds fill the air with life.

As it is in the natural, so it will be in the spirit. Great clarity will be filling the hearts and minds of God's people this year; a greater understanding of our purpose and destiny. The church will rise up and become more visible this year despite the conflicts and challenges that will face her.

NOW is the time for the church to shine.

"A YEAR OF HARVEST"

"A year of reaping souls, answered prayer,

promises and prophecy you have been believing for."

This is what Holy Spirit has revealed to us by revelation for faith in 2014. This revelation certainly is a great encouragement to the body of Christ at Good News and whosoever receives it.

Proverbs 25:13 reads: 'Like the cold of snow in time of harvest; is a faithful messenger to those who send him, for he refreshes the soul of his masters.'

The winter we are experiencing reflects the importance of snow for harvest. A measure of the reaping that we will be doing this year will be directly connected to us being faithful messengers to those Holy Spirit sends us to. Similarly, when we share Christ and our faith, It refreshes the soul of our Master.

The challenges of the times we live in continue to increase because Bible prophecy is being fulfilled. In Matthew 24 & 25 Jesus predicted what would be happening in the last days. Today, it's like reading a newspaper.

I encurage you to believe and decree;

(1) I am a son of Issachar, understanding the signs of the times.

(2) I am a wise virgin whose lamp is trimmed with oil; with extra oil, looking for the coming of My Bridegroom.

Our prayer is that this Thanksgiving will be your best one yet. As we draw closer to the end of time and times, we need to focus on occupying until Jesus returns. There are so many things to be thankful for; our salvation, family, friends, health, unfolding prosperity and so on. Let's focus on thanking the Lord for the opportunities that He is preparing for us to sieze and to be fruitful in reaching souls for Christ and making disciples of them.

Once again the 'seasons are changing and Autumn is here.

God has put in His creation types and shadows to help us understand seasons in our lives. Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn all reveal a different aspect of life's growth patterns.

In Autumn, the leaves begin to change color and eventually fall off. Deciduous trees lose their leaves every winter, raher than maintaining green foliage throughout the year like evergreens do.

Often, the trees provide a radiant show of fall color before they lose their leaves, and in some regions, this fall color is a vacation attraction that visitors from all over the world enjoy.

Their are a number of reasons for leaf loss, but essentially, it happens to conserve energy over the winter and prevent damage to the tree. In the spring, the tree puts out new leaves so that the process can begin anew.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 reads, "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven."

During this season in your life, let the beauty of the color of the Lord radiate through you. Fall is the preparation for winter. Soon it will be a time to reflect on what the Lord has done and meditate on the future He has for us in spring.

There will be new life blossoming on your life this spring. May God use you to give oxygen and help shade others who would otherwise suffer from extreme temperatures.

Gary was killed in aa car accident in 1996. Gary met Jesus face to face as he spent time in heaven. He was then commissioned by Jesus to return to earth where he was to proclaim the gospel in such a way as to make Jesus real in the lives of people. Jesus told Gary wherever he told his story, people would be saved, delivered and healed.

4th of July 'Independence Day' - Celebration of Freedom

Independence Day, commonly known as the 4th of July, is a Federal Holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the 'Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776,

declaring independence from the kingdom of Great Britian.

JOHN ADAMS wrote a letter to his wife Abigail on July 3rd,

'The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the 'Day of deliverance' by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.'

SUMMER IS HERE

The children are on summer vacation from school and Moms are running to and fro. Yard work and vacations begin to fill our schedules with seasonal responsibilities. These responibilities are both natural and spiritual.

SEIZE THE OPPORTUNITY

Ecclesiastes 11:1 reads, 'To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.'

As the Season changes and fulfills it's purpose, WE TOO need to redeem time and fulfill our purpose. It is always a multiple experience. There is the individual growth necessary and the corporate growth necessary.

In Spring and Summer there is NEW GROWTH on the trees and shrubs. SImilarly, there should be NEW GROWTH in the life of every believer.

Vacation with the family is a necessary refreshing for the joy and wellness of the soul. HAVE FUN with your family naturally and spiritually.

`Staying focused in the season is necessary for the corportae good and the wellness of souls all around us.

Don't ever forget that while we need the assembling of ourselves together regularly, The GOSPEL is a "Go and Make disciples," command; not a 'come and see' option.

Like Esther, we were born for such a time as this. We are living in one of the most incredible hours of Church History. It is time for the church of Jesus Christ to rise up and be the living and active body of Christ, preaching the gospel and doing the works of the Father.

HOLY SPIRIT

We sarted a series on the Person of the Holy Spirit, His attributes, characteristics and Ministry to the church and through the church. There is a FRESH FIRE present in our services as Holy Spirit moves confirming the Word with signs following. The church is receiving fresh revelation of Who He is and how to flow with Him n ministering to family, friends, co-workers and neighbors.

As we enter 2013, we are so excited of what Holy Spirit is revealing regarding "Revived-Refueled and Re-fired."

God is showing us that He is going to do what Ephesians 3:20 declares; "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask, think or imagine, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus forever."

David Tomberlin Ministries was founded out of a desire to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world and to bring true revival to the Church. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has made a way for all people of the earth to know and live life with God, through Jesus’ redemptive work on the Cross. We further believe it is our calling as a ministry to communicate that Good News to all the nations of the earth. 'CHRISTMAS OUTREACH' Lighthouse Ministries hosted once again an 'Outreach for Children' in the Tasker Projects area in Philadelphia. Good News Family Worship Center for over 20 years has been helping with the 'Drama' skits and 'Santa Claus' ministry and entertainment. This year many of our Grandchildren participated in the event as Disney Princess' and Super Heroes.

Approximately 400 children were in attendance and many of them raised their hands to receive Jesus as their Savior and Lord. That makes it all worth while.

WE PRAY FOR A BLESSED CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS FOR ALL!

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!

All over the world people celebrate Christmas. Many folks these days only think of it as a holiday to exchange gifts. Christmas was, is and will always be about the celebration of "the Lord Jesus Christ's birth."

Jesus' birth is such a significant event in the history of man especially as a fulfillment of the Scriptures. God's Word foretold the event over 700 years before it occured.

The integrity of the Bible is so profound because it is "God breathed." (2 Timothy 3:16&17) So many references in the scriptures to the Messiah"s birth, ministry, suffering, death, resurrection, ascension and 2nd coming that all came to pass and are still to be fulfilled.

Pastor Tim ministered a few weeks on the subject of 'JESUS, fully God and fully man.' The teaching was so fresh and filled with revelation. The congregation was edified and equipped to share the truth of Christ and His gospel to a lost and dying world.

PRAISE REPORT: The ministry in Poland was a great success. I had the opportunity to minister at 2 General Assembly Meetings, 3 city cell groups, and a leadership meeting to encourage and strenthen the Leaders and the brethren. "Army of David" church has faced several great tests and are coming through them triumphantly. Please keep the church globally in prayer.

October 5, at 7:30pm, "23 Minutes in Hell" author Rev. Bill Wiese and his wife Annette will be "Sharing his Testimony" and experience of being taken to Hell for 23 minutes in 1998. Bill asked the Lord why He allowed this to happen to him. Jesus said that many people don't believe in Hell, even some of His people, and this message must be shared throughout the world. "Praise God" 12 people gave their life to Jesus!

"SonSurf Beach Bash" is the theme this year. Wednesday through Friday evenings from 6:00pm to 8:30pm for children from 3 years to 6th grade.

We are planning a lot of fun events for the children so they can have a memorable experience to impact them for their future.

WOW! God is faithful to perform His word. On May 6, the Lord manifested His glory with a great outpouring of golden colored glory particles and other colorful manifestations. The entire assembly saw the manifestation and particularly, their was a great move of the Spirit in Prophecy, accomanied with Angelic activity and ministry.

We have been ministering Sundays on 'THE BLESSED LIFE" and at our mid-week services on "Prosperity." The teachings have been very encouraging and helpful to the body. STEWARDSHIP is so important to becoming wealthy and empowered to be a vessel through which His blessing can flow.

We are delving into the Word of God to dig deeper into His sacred truths which He has for His people. NOW IS THE TIME to be confident in the promises of God regarding His economic principles and provision.

Jesus said, "He who hears My sayings and does them is like a man who built his house on a rock. Then the storms of life beat vehemently on that house and it stood through the storm." (paraphrased)

Our faith must be anchored in the God of the Word and the Word of God.

Resurrection Celebration! HE IS RISEN!

This April we continued to sense and experience God's presence in our assembling times. There were great prophecies that came forth for personal, corporate, regional and global influence and impact.

We seemed to be in a time where there was life but somewhat dormant. The Lord ministered to me that "we were in a cocoon; though there is no evidence of life, in actuallity there is a metamorphis taking place inside the cocoon. A Butterfly is being formed and when ready, it will break out and fly to new heights and be very beautiful in color."

We llok forward with great expectancy for what God has prepared for us.

January 21, [ An amazing testimony of wisdom & courage ]

I was listening to a Christian program on the radio today and the Speaker shared an experience that a minister had many years ago.

The story went in this way. The minister forbade his small children to do a certain thing. They did it and he warned them that they would be disciplined the next time they did it. He was at work and got a phone call that they did it once again.

When he got home it was extremely difficult for him to discipline them with a spanking, so he took his belt off and then his shirt. Next he knelt at his bed and demanded that his little boy and girl whip him 10 times each on his back. They reluctantly obeyed and began crying while they hit their dad.

When they were done, he shared with them how Jesus took our place of punishment for our sins; so he did the same to teach them a life-long lesson. He went on to say that he was not a hero because it hurt a lot. But he said that he never had to discipline them again.

"A Spirit of wisdom and revelation" for sure was exercised that day.

In Colossians 1:9-12, the apostle Paul prayed for the church the following. Like Paul, our prayer for the body of Christ this year is: 9 "For this reason we also, since we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, (fully pleasing Him in all respects) being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thamks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light."

JANUARY, 2012 - "Preparing and Occupying"

"In Matthew chapters 24 & 25, Jesus gave specific revelation about the last days and instuctions for the posture of His church with regard to His soon return.

In the parable of the 10 virgins (5 wise and 5 foolish) we are challenged to have our lamps full and trimmed with extra oil, looking for the coming of our Bridegroom. This instruction moves those who love Him to a disciplined life of intimacy every day in worship, prayer and the word; sharing our faith with others and making disciples. [Acts 2:42-47 activity in the Spirit]

SOME PROPHETIC WORDS FOR 2012:

* Your turn around is right around the corner.

* 2012 will be the best year yet.

* 2012 will be a 12 basket year. [BREAKTHROUGHS]

* A greater year of refining and fruitfulness.

* 2012 will be an amazing year.

PROPHETIC WORD: The Holy Spirit recently spoke a word to me while in prayer regarding a person's offspring. He said, "her turn around was right around the corner." Holy Spirit continues to impress this in me for the body of Christ. "YOUR TURN AROUND IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER."

Take a moment to rejoice in this promise and God will move swiftly on your behalf. Begin to declare, "thank you Lord, my turn around is right around the corner."

CHRISTMAS IS HERE! "JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!"

We are purposing to keep Christ in Christmas. Jesus was, is and always will be "the reason for the season!" Two of my favorite verses are John 3:16,17. It reveals the love of God and the purpose of Jesus coming to earth. "For God so loved the world, that He sent His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save that which was lost."

In this season when we are surrounded and captured with so many festive sights and sounds, let's purpose to be His light and sound in a darkening world of humanity who desperately needs Christ. Remember the words of our Master. "You are the light of the world! You are the salt of the earth!

YOUR MISSION FIELD is all around you; it is everywhere your feet trod. Let the love of God flow in you and through you everyday. Let this be the greatest Christmas in your lifetime.

Now is the time! Today is the day! You are the Ambassador and Minister of God to a lost and dying world. [2 Corinthians 5:17-20]

[NOTE] This month (and into December), the Lord has directed a series of fresh teaching on the subject of "Faith-filled Words." The importance of speaking, decreeing and applying the truths of God's word is so urgent to our personal and corporate experience; probably more than ever before in the history of the church.

Meditating, [muttering over and over; pondering on], the Word of God is like putting dots (pixels) on the canvas of our spirit. The more we mutter and reflect on His truths, the more pixels are placed to form a clearer picture of the promise we are believing for. The clearer the picture on the inside of us, the greater our HOPE is.

"THANKSGIVING" We pray that all our family and friends will have the most blessed Thanksgiving ever. "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good."

Dr. Ron Smith ministered to our congregation on Saturday evening, 11-12 and Sunday morning 11-13. We had an awesome time in the presence of God with a prophetic atmosphere. It is difficult to communicate in english the weighty glory that filled the sanctuary during the preaching of the word and the Spirit's movings.

Like Abraham, we have waited 24 years for the timing to prepare for the establishing of the school. Like Isaac, GNBTI is being birthed 25 years after the promise. [We are right on time on God's clock.]

A prophet in 2008 ministerd a word to Good News and said, "I have never said this before; but this church will be 'An Oasis and a Training Center.'

Praise God, another manifestation of this prophecy is coming to pass.

PRAYER AND FASTING SUCCESS!

WOW! What an amazing congregational response to the "cry of the Spirit" for a unified gathering in Prayer and fasting. For several of our members it was the first time to go 3 days without food and just water. During our gatherings in the evenings we sensed both the presence of God and His pleasure with His people's committment.

It was a joy for us to see the faith exercised in new territory in the saint's experience. Truly, disciples were growing in their faith and experience with a child-like trust that we were going to meet God and God was going to meet us.

'GREAT BREAKTHROUGHS' were realized in the spirit and a knowing that they would manifest in the natural.

3 DAYS OF FASTING AND PRAYER: August 2,3,4.

The Lord has been moving on our hearts for a corporate fast for (1) A breakthrough in our personal intimacy with God. (2) an Awakening, (personally, corporately and nationally). (3) presenting ourselves before Him with repentence and an openness for His guidance for any changes needed in our lives. (4) A passion for souls and making disciples.

As we go through the summer months, there is a sensing of "something good is about to happen." (to quote Oral Roberts)

There are so many challenges in several areas of life; devotions, family, marriages, relationships, finances and the list could go on.

ONE THING that we are sensing from the Holy Spirit is that what we are seeing and experiencing, is the "working of God" preparing His bride without spot or wrinkle.

Regardless of how intimate (deep) or shallow we are with God, there is a spirit DNA that is working inside us to mature us to the SONS (male & female) that we are all called to be before the coming of the Lord.

The 'signs of the times', (birthpangs) mentioned in Matthew 24, are happening in greater frequency with greater impact and severity.

Truly, we are in the last days and God is looking for His remnant. ARE YOU ONE OF THE WISE VIRGINS mentioned in Matthew 25?

MOTHERS DAY

May 8th is designated as the day to celebrate those women who have given their lives to birthing and raising children. The scriptures have many things to say of the role and honor that should be given to these wonderful woman. Proverbs 31 gives great insight to the potential, function and blessing of these migty women of faith. Make sure to celebrate your mothers and grandmothers; they deserve our praise.

NEW ENGLANG FORUMS:

April 26-28 in Sharon, Massachusetts. A forum panel hosted by Rev. Bert Farias and Pastor Tony Paul with guest Ministers Dr. Ron Smith, Rev. Joe Jordan and Pastors Ray & Carol Shannon will be flowing in the Holy Spirit and the Word of God under the facilitation of Dr. Ron Smith.

Our subject matter was a diversity of 1 Corinthians chapter 14 regarding church order in the church; the importance of the Word and the Spirit's operations and gifts flowing regularly; the manifestation of the Priests and Kings in this hour. The Priests being first and foremost the Ephesian 4 Ministries chapter 4:11, are responsible to articulate revelation and vision. The Kings being the Business and Market Place ministries to finance the work of God in local churches and ministries.

The presence and power of God was awesome in these meetings. There was a great flow of the gifts of the Spirit with great revelation for the body of Christ and especially those who were present.

RESURRECTION CELEBRATION! / JESUS LIVES!

Once again we find ourselves in the season of Passover of the Hebrew Calender and the Christian calender wiith Holy Week ending with Ressurection Sunday (otherwise known as Easter). These Holidays are significant to the times and seasons of the church of Jesus Christ.

Holy Spirit has us reflecting on the blessing of salvation and the new creation reality that was provided for humanity through Jesus' suffering, death, burial and resurrection.

LET'S CELEBRATE OUR LORD'S RESSURECTION by sharing Jesus' victory over sin and death with our families, friends and neighbors.

In May of 1985 we founded Good News Outreach, a ministry with

Apostolic-Prophetic DNA to have global impact.

In March of 1986 we started Good News Outreach Church as a Bible Study in obedience to the Holy Spirit's guidance. Every year since, we experienced God's goodness and grace to establish a work that would stand the tests of time. In 1993 we changed the name of the local congregation to Good News family Worship Center.

We are witnesses of His love and faithfulness in the building of a Spiritual House that would purpose to expect His presence and movings every time we gather together. Over the years we have seen souls saved, people filled with the Holy Spirit, many healed physically and emotionally.

This ensuing year we are expecting every guest Minister to make a divine deposit to help us fulfill our destiny. Please join us at these MOEDS, (appointed times and seasons) for Father's work to be accomplished in us.

ASSOCIATE PASTORS and Leadership Team:

Pastors Tim and Allena Shannon oversee the Spiritual House whenever Carol and I are traveling and along with our Leadership Team are mature and yielded vessels, flowing in the Word and with the Holy Spirit. The meeting to meeting faithfulness of God is always expected and experienced.

We are so blessed with the Spiritual House that the Lord has graced us with. God has been building a root system (a core of people) that He is using as a support for the tree (a regional & global impacting congregation) that is about to bring forth great fruitfulness and kingdom influence.

MID-WEEK SERVICES! "WEDNESDAY EVENINGS"

We have changed our mid-week services from Thursday evenings to Wednesday evenings. Part of this plan and strategy is to prepare for the launch of our Accredited Bible School in September of 2011.

Pastor Carol has been ministering on "The Seed of the Matter takes care of the Need of the Matter."

The incorruptible Seed of the Word of God contains the answer and solution to every need in life. How refreshing it is to be reminded of the sacred truths of scripture regarding the importance of keeping God's words in our heart and in our mouth. For such a time as this "WE HAVE BEEN BROUGHT INTO THE KINGDOM." Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. { Faith grows by doing, and doing the Word of God}

Apostle-Teacher Joan Hunter, held Healing and Miracle services at Good News FWC this past weekend along with a Healing School. WOW! What an awesome time in the presence of the Lord with signs and wonders following. Many were healed of their maladies spontaneously. We were equipped to take the love of God everywhere we go and to always be ready to minister healing to anyone who is suffering in any way.

JANUARY, 2011

The first three weeks of January were dedicated to the END TIMES!

We looked at Matthew Chapters 24, 25:1-13, and 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11.

The Rapture (catching away) of the Church is close at hand. The parable of the wise virgins and the foolish virgins seems to be the precursor of the second advent of Jesus.

THREE PRIMARY POSITIONS OF THE RAPTURE; PRE; MID; POST.

All three positions have valid scriptural references to substantiate their position. What seems to be avoided is the possibility that all three positions are correct.

THE PRISM PRICIPLE! One day as I was studying the Word of God on the subject of light, (John 1:4), I was led to the knowledge of a prism. Pure light enters a prism, then it is refracted (bent), and out of the various facets shine forth the colors of the rainbow.

The Spirit spoke to me and said, "as pure light is sent into a prism and refracted and you see the colors of the rainbow, so I send My truth into the earth. I refract it and distribute it (as a color) to different people and groups. The problem has been that when they get a color, (piece of the revelation of God's Word), they build a tabernacle around it and only allow themselves to see the one color; thus there is a limitation and a division from the rest of the Body of Christ. My intention is for My people to come together with the different colors and then they would see the full beauty of My Word.

A SPLIT CHURCH AT THE RAPTURE!

Many of the Christian community have never allowed the possibility of a born-again, blood-bought child of God being left behind. It is difficult from the realm of reason to validate this. It would seem that the foolish virgins were not saved. I was questioned by a seasoned leader, "if all of the virgins were saved, it would seem then that it is based on works."

While praying about this parable and pondering on 25:12b, "I do not know you," I heard the Holy Spirit gently say, "It is not based on works, It is based on love."

So we are presented with revelation that would validate the positions of the church to all be partly right but need each other to see the full truth and the beauty of God's colors reflected in His word by His Spirit.

PRE: The parable of the five wise virgins reveals that their is a portion of the church that is looking and ready for the coming of the Bridegroom and will go out to meet Him.

MID: The foolish virgins (who had one foot in the world and one foot in the Kingdom, and were not ready) are left behind and become part of the tribulation saints.

POST: The great harvest of the Jewish People.

Regardless of the exactness of how this unfolds, we can be assured that His soon coming is eminent.

WOW! where has time gone? It seems like a blur since my last update in October. November has come and gone and we are on the threshold of Christmas Eve. Sunday's message was about "Immanuel, God with us." We looked at the prophecy planted in Isaiah 7:14; watered in Luke 1:26-28; and manifested in Matthew 1:18-24.

GOD WITH US! How comforting it is to know that God is always with us. In Matthew 28:20 Jesus promised, "I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Regardless of the perilous times that we live in, we can have confidence that Jesus is always with us. Hallelujah!

10/17/10 - Sunday [An intense Presence of the Lord]

In an attempt to continue the series on "The Ministry of Helps", the Holy Spirit quickened a revelation to us regarding WHY some people have a problem with serving in the ministry of helps in the local church or anywhere. Holy Spirit reminded me about Luke 8:47, " therefore I say to you, her sins which are many, are forgiven, because she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little."

WE NEED A REVELATION OF HOW MUCH WE HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN!
