Here is brief video that provides a quick look at some of the features of our online church community communication vehicle. That is a mouthful, but we live in a new world where we can be connected in many new great ways, while still protecting our privacy. You can also download the accompanying .pdf document. Oh, yes it is a generic video created by the CCB company, not a specifically tailored video just for us! Enjoy and welcome to the community.

As an online member at Desert Valley Adventist Church, you are welcome to use and become part of our online community at desertvalley.ccbchurch.com. When you log in, you will be able to see your own profile information, the groups you are participating in, the positions you hold, your own giving records, (coming later) events you might be interested in, easily communicate with other members and much more! You can update your profile information and make sure that our records are correct. Also, you can fill in some of the “fun” informaiton like the activities you enjoy, the music styles you prefer, your favorite radio station and more so that others can get to know you better. We hope you enjoy TPC’s online community!

The best way to see what our online community is about is to login and look around. If you decide you don’t want to be part of the community, you can at anytime request to be unlisted and merely discontinue using it. It works as a personal calendar, a church calendar, a program of events, and a communication tool between members and groups. We hope that you will be able to get better connected by participating in discussions, looking for groups that may be of interest to you and then joining one!

We hope you will take a couple of minutes to watch this video and understand how to share the information you are comfortable sharing, and how to keep other information private and only share it with those you are confident will not misuse it.

One of the most important items, is the ability to find and connect with other people, but as you hopefully have already learned in the video above, you can only find the people who want to be found, and can only access the information they have decided to share. So please watch both of these videos so you can gain the most from this new online directory.
