Financial Stewardship

Here at AIea UMC, we are committed to building a life-changing community that follows Jesus through worship, relationships, spiritual growth, and service. Part of living out this journey of discipleship includes financial stewardship as a response to God's abundant blessings. Below are some of the opportunities available for Financial Stewardship.

E-Tithing Giving: Thru E-tithing, the amount you authorize is electronically transferred from your checking or savings account to Aiea UMC on a weekly or monthly basis. You may change or terminate your e-tithing at any point. To get started, simply complete the e-tithing form!

Food Pantry: Donations to the food pantry provide much needed food to Good Samaritan Food Pantry and our Aiea Elementary Keiki Food Bag Program.

Pastor's Kokua Fund: Used at the discretion of the pastor to help people in need (ie. rental assistance, bus passes, groceries, etc)

Missions: Gifts used to enhance what Aiea UMC committment to support local and global mission projects.

Memorial Funds: Providing gifts in memory of a loved one can be used for specific needs around the church.

Capital Improvements: Gifts to be used for Aiea UMC's building and propery improvements

Non- Cash Gifts: Stocks and Real Estate donations have tax-saving benefits that allows Aiea UMC to recieve full value of donation while the donor owes no tax on the gain.

Chariable Remainder Trusts (CRTs) and Gift Annuities: With these options, the living donor earns current income at rates above the average rate for certificates of deposit and recieved credit for a donation for tax purposes. At death (or a specific date), the remaining value passes to the charity.

Estate Planning (Wills, Beneficiaries, and Bequeths): Consider tithing the value of your estate to Aiea UMC. Aiea UMC can be named as a beneficiary on life insurance policaies, bank CD's, and retirement, financial, and brokerage accounts. Designation of Aiea UMC to recieve gift from your estate may also be stated in wills.

Members of our Finance Committee are available to answer any questions regarding financial stewardship. Please contact the church office or email: aumc@aumc.us for more information.
