About Us

What to Expect

We do our best to provide a welcoming atmosphere. We provide opportunities for people to develop their relationships with Christ through worship, communion, in-depth Biblical teaching, and fellowship with other believers in Christ. Our weekend services present the timeless truths of Christianity in a way that impact people in their lives today. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you can grow in your understanding of Christianity at these services. In addition, we have an education hour on Sunday mornings at 9:30 to delve into God's Word together. We also have Life Groups (small groups) that meet at various times and locations.

1. What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. Business casual tends to be the norm at the traditional services where the Praise and Worship service is more casual. Dress usually ranges from shirts and ties to jeans and t-shirts.

2. When are the services and how long will they last?

Traditional - 5:00PM Saturday

Traditional/Blended - 8:00AM Sunday

Praise and Worship - 10:30AM Sunday

Each service typically lasts about an hour.

3. What will the service be like?

Our goal at all services is to glorify and worship God and exalt our Lord Jesus Christ.

The traditional services at 5:00PM (Saturday) and 8:00AM (Sunday) include traditional music and a printed order of worship, including communion. Handbells, choir, and drama are often included to enhance worship.

The 10:30AM praise service includes contemporary music, engaging multimedia, communion, and practical messages that apply to your life in a meaningful way.

4. Will I have to say anything, sign anything, give anything or be singled out in any way?

At St. Luke, we hope you'll never be put on the spot, singled-out, or embarrassed. Our hope is that you'll allow the service to be our gift to you and that you'll know we're here for you.

5. How will I meet people?

At St. Luke there are many opportunities to meet people and get involved in small groups and activities. One way to meet other members is by stopping by for donuts and coffee from 9:00 - 9:30AM in front of the Worship Center.

6. What about my kids - do they come into the service with me or is there something going on for them?

Every child is welcome in the service itself. We have engaging music and a children's message at the 10:30 service to keep children interested and can provide totes filled with quiet activities.

To ensure both you and your child get the most out of your St. Luke experience, we also offer a variety of places for your child to receive high levels of care, attention, teaching, and fun during the Education Hour at 9:30AM.

Childcare is provided in the Nursery from 8:00AM until noon on Sunday. This is a safe environment for infants through age 3.

Sunday school is offered for children ages 3 years through 12th grade.

Check out the Children and Youth pages of the site to learn about more activities going on for you and your kids!

7. Is this a Christian church ... or something else?

Yes, we are a Christian church. We are affiliated with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. We are defined by our Savior Jesus Christ and promote His teachings. We have adopted certain core values which put meaning into our ministry and are a guide for our staff and members.

For more information on what we believe, teach and value, please see our Strategic Mission & Ministry Plan.

8. What if I have a question once I am at St. Luke?

If you have a question or need help at any time, look for greeters and ushers - they can help you. Also stop by the Welcome Center to pick up a brochure that will answer any of your other questions. All members you see around St. Luke are also willing to answer questions and help you feel more welcome.
