God has led our Pastor to designate every fourth Sunday as our "Mission Sunday". The congregation is broken into several groups that visit the sick and shut-in at various area nursing homes. A service is conducted to spread the gospel and encourage the hearts of those in our community.
A separate team visits the homeless in Washington, DC to pass out bagged lunches, offer prayer and give words of encouragement.
(2nd and 4th Fridays @ 7:30pm)
Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost..."
Being a disciple and making disciples is a central part of the body of believers in Christ. In Equipping classes, individuals form groups and study particular aspects of the Bible. This is a time for us to study, expound and grow in our knowledge of the Word in fellowship with each other. Classes are assembled by age group (childhood, pre-teen & teenagehood, adulthood) so all are invited to participate!
