Welcome to Lothian Church of God’s Youth Ministry

Under the leadership of Dea. Quentin Jones, Jr. (Youth Minister)

The Youth Ministry exists to equip young people with the spiritual foundation necessary for holistic growth. Towards this goal, we have the following:

  • PARENT CONNECT - A partnership between the Youth ministry and parents in which constant open dialogue exists to: 1) assess the needs of the youth, and 2) design ways to meet those needs - as we continue to train up the next generation of ambassadors for God.
  • YOUTH SUNDAY (1st Sundays @ 5:30 PM) /YOUTH NIGHT SERVICES (3rd Fridays @ 8 PM) - Theme for the Year: "Keeping the Word at the Core (KWC)". This service features praise and worship, scriptural recitations, awakening revelations, spoken word, and challenging/thought-provoking exhortation for our youth.
  • YOUTH CLUBS - T2 Titans Boys' Club (11-18 yr olds), 31:30 Girls' Club (11-18 yr olds), Young Explorers Club (4-10 yr olds). Clubs enable our youth to have more personalized communication and relationship with older Men and Women who encourage and strengthen them in their walk with Christ. These relationships foster genuine bonds and spiritual accountability. Club outings include field trips, concerts, amusement park days, as well as fun/fellowship at the Youth Minister's Home!
  • SUMMER CAMP - Children’s Summer Camp is a highlight of each summer, and our high school and college students are often involved in assisting with Summer Camp classes. We also administer the Elder Eric Bond Memorial Scholarship, and to date, this scholarship program has been a blessing to young people embarking on their journeys towards higher education.
  • OUTREACH SERVICES - The Youth Ministry encourages our young people to give of themselves through outreach; young people have had the opportunity to minister to surrounding communities such as preparing meals and ministering at the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore, MD, fellowshipping with Seniors at the Annapolis Senior Center, and preparing and distributing bagged lunches in Washington, DC. These outreach opportunities often provide profound learning experiences for young people, enabling them to more deeply understand and apply the important lessons of Jesus Christ. The Youth Ministry also encourages youth participation in projects across ministries, such as the Hospitality Ministry’s Community Days, and the Mission Ministry’s Summer Mission Trips.
  • Our prayer is that young people embrace the gift of salvation, and realize the unfailing love that Jesus has for them, and thus be able to reach their generation through action and love.

Please keep our young people everywhere lifted in prayer.
