Jeannine Manguiat

El Sobrante Christian School Principal K-6th

Jeannine Manguiat loves her job as Elementary Principal. She especially enjoys getting to know each of the students and watching them grow over the years. Maintaining positive relationships with students, families, staff, and the whole ESCS community is one of her biggest goals. She believes that ESCS is a great school because of the committed staff and wonderful students/families!

Jeannine grew up in Oakland, and has always wanted to work in education. She worked at El Sobrante Christian School for nine years before moving into the Elementary Principal position. She taught 4th grade for five years, 5th grade for one year, and served as Vice Principal for three years. She is a graduate of Westmont College in Santa Barbara where she earned her B.A. in Liberal Studies. She then went on to earn her California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and M.Ed. in Urban Education from Holy Names University in Oakland. She also earned her California Administrative Services Credential from CSU, East Bay. She has both her Teacher and Principal Credentials through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

In her free time, Jeannine likes to watch and go to sporting events of all kinds. She especially loves football—she is a die-hard Oakland Raiders fan & season ticket holder. She played volleyball through college, and has continued to coach boys and girls club volleyball since. Jeannine enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and three year old son.
