Andrew Hoffman - Senior Pastor

Pastor Andrew Hoffman and his wife, Jodie, live in Albany, Calif. with their four kids. His chief ministry desire is to help people find and follow Christ. Andrew received his M.Div. at Trinity International University and also completed an M.A. in New Testament at Trinity, under the direction of noted theologian D.A. Carson. He holds degrees in literature and music from U.C. Santa Barbara and is a Church Planting Coach for churches throughout Northern California and Nevada. In addition to ministry, Andrew is passionate about family, friends, cycling and reading.

Andrew Franklin - Assistant Pastor

Andrew grew up in the Bay Area and earned his B.A. in History from Westmont College. He recently completed his M.Div. at Fuller Theological Seminary and was married to Alexandra in May 2014. For five years Andrew served as Pastoral Intern at SCC and now he has come onboard as the Director of City Mission in 2013. Andrew desires to see the gospel impact every area of our cities. He also enjoys playing soccer, exploring towns with his wife, and Stinson Beach.

Miguel Castuera - Music Director

Miguel was born in Burbank, California, to a Mexican immigrant family. He and his sister, Lily, both learned much of their English by watching Sesame Street. He began vocational ministry at the age of 17 at his home church in Glendora, California. During that time, he completed a B.A. in Music at U.C. Riverside. Miguel is currently working on his M.A. in Theology/Biblical Studies at Talbot School of Theology. He enjoys spicy food, cycling, and socializing with all kinds of people. Miguel sees music as an important tool for the spread of the gospel in the Bay Area.

Jackie Knapp- Children's Ministry Director

Jackie grew up in a Christian home and came to faith in High School. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois, Champagne-Urbana and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Master’s College. Jackie has studied child development and led children’s ministry in both the local church setting and the international missions setting. She also has experience as a nanny. From 2005-2013, Jackie worked with college students as Resident Director at Master’s College and as Campus Ministries Director at University Reformed Church in East Lansing, MI. Jackie will be working half-time with Solano Community Church while also pursuing a call to writing.

John Jensen - Coordinator for Children and Youth

John grew up in a Christian home and was homeschooled throughout high school. He has a Bachelor of Science in Children's Ministry and Bible from Moody Bible Institute. He has worked in children's ministry in a suburban setting at Elmbrook Church in Brookfield, WI, in an urban setting at Southwark Church in Chicago, IL, and internationally, developing a Children's and Family Ministry in Berlin, Germany. John will be working half-time at Solano while also working with Brent Kompelien at SF Mission and the EFCA's international missions agency, ReachGlobal, developing leaders in urban cultural entry.

Karlee - Admin Assistant

Karlee came to faith in high school. She is a graduate from UC Berkeley with a degree in English. At UC Berkeley, Karlee was an active part of Cru and was part of the Cru leadership. She developed her administrative skills while working in a health care office, serving as an AmeriCorps Education Fellow and in her leadership role with Cru. Karlee and her husband, Austin, feel called to Berkeley and Karlee is eager to use her administrative gifts to serve the church.

Brent Kompelien - Pastor of SF Mission

Brent grew up in San Jose, California. His wife, Sarah, is a native of Santa Clara, California. They met in their first grade Sunday school class, dated in high school and college, and married in 2007. Brent completed a B.A. in Communication Studies at San Jose State University in 2009. Then he earned a Master of Divinity at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2012. Brent has served as Church Planting Resident Pastor and as Assistant Pastor at SCC. In 2014, God called Brent to launch a new church multiplication initiative in San Francisco called SF Mission. Brent's favorite activities are camping, backpacking, baseball, and fly fishing. His primary ministry goal is to see a new gospel-centered church in every neighorhood of San Francisco, within walking distance of every resident. He lives with his wife Sarah and their daughter Annabelle in San Francisco.
