At Christ Church, we see community as essential for living out the calling of Jesus on our lives. While an individual’s relationship with God through Christ is certainly crucial, without community, we run the risk of experiencing a narrow understanding of what it means to be a disciple. Very little of the New Testament addresses individuals. Instead the words of Paul, the gospel writers, and the apostles help us understand what it means to be the Church. As we live life openly together and push one another towards maturity in love, we display the kingdom of God to the world and embody the mission that was imparted by Christ Himself.
