Lee Bowman, Minister of Administration & Communications

Lee was born and grew up in Michigan, where he was an elementary teacher for 10 years. Lured by the beauty of the west, he packed up and moved to Denver in 1970 and worked in oil and gas investment and later for a publishing company. It was in Denver that he came out as a gay man, discovered God, and found MCC, all at the same time! After 12+ years on the Board of Directors at MCC of the Rockies, he joined the staff as church Administrator in January, 1995. That’s where he first met Rev. Tony Freeman, during his Interim Pastorate. In late 1998, Lee was lured again—this time by the ocean and sun, Pastor Tony, and a true heartfelt calling, to be Administrator at MCC San Diego. His interests / passions include photography, writing, hiking, travel, movies and trivia, and he has a collection of over 200 penguins (not live).

Rev. Caedmon Grace, Minister of Congregational Life

As a native of California, raised in a small town outside of Bakersfield, Rev Caedmon spent his college years and beyond in Southern California, living in Orange County, Long Beach and the Inland Empire. His undergraduate degree is from an Assemblies of God University in Sociology and Women’s Studies. He was ordained at Founders MCC’s Franklin campus and moved directly to Nebraska to be Minister of Congregational Life at MCC Omaha. While there, he was charged with creating entry points and moving the congregation from a Pastor Size church to a Program Church. After two years, he returned to LA to join the staff of Founders MCC as Minister of Congregational Life and Care. He also helped lead a multi-State team response to the Joplin Tornado which destroyed Spirit of Christ MCC in Missouri.

Rev. Caedmon began his transition from female to male in 2014, and speaks regularly to human sexuality classes in conservative universities about gender, spirituality and sexuality from his unique Clergy perspective. Beyond his passion for ministry, Rev. Caedmon loves a good motorcycle ride, scuba diving and hiking with his labradoodle, Glee.

And we are supported by several volunteer Admin Team ministers and scores of others involved in the many ministries here at The Met.
