AIDS WALK 2017

What a phenomenal AIDS Walk team we had as 20 people walked with The Met, raising $3,315 for The Center's HIV / AIDS programs and services. We were proud to reach out to the community and to be the top fundraiser among faith-based teams.

AIDS WALK 2016

The Met's Team was up bright and early for AIDS Walk San Diego 2016. We raised $1,855 for The Center!. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported our efforts.

AIDS WALK 2015

Again The Met was very present with a team of about 20 people raising $2,180. From the camaraderie to the exercise to the contentment of supporting a great cause and being part of a community effort, it was another wonderful summer morning walk for our congregants. Until AIDS is gone, we'll keep walking!

AIDS WALK 2014

We once again participated in AIDS Walk San Diego 2014, on Saturday, September 27, with a new route in Hillcrest, starting at University & Normal Streets. With $4,000 raised, we were prorud to once again be the top faith-based team.

AIDS WALK 2013

We were proud to have a team of 20 participants in yesterday's AIDS Walk! With moneys yet to be reflected in our total, we know that we raised a new record: over $6,500 for AIDS services and organizations here in San Diego! All of this ou...tside of church funds! Congratulations to our faithful team for their passion, spirit and heart for a cause which we all support. We blessed the walkers at the 11 AM service, and lifted up a prayer for continued progress against HIV / AIDS.

AIDS WALK 2012

As we have done every year, The Met was proud to be a part of AIDS Walk San Diego 2012. We had over 30 walkers and raised $5,935. That was both a record for MCC but also ranked us as the #1 faith-based team! Our gratitude goes to the core Planning Team of Tim Brouillette, Mark Padgett, Mike Franz & Phil Sanchez and to all the walkers. As we said in our AIDS Walk Litany at church on September 30, "We pray for an end to AIDS and the ultimate triumph of science and the human spirit."
